Global Support

Support from Mariposa International

Losing a baby at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy is a devastating and often traumatic event for the parents, and also for siblings, extended family members and friends.

Many people feel isolated and like they are the only ones to ever experience baby loss, but sadly each day in the UK over 700 babies will be lost too soon, and globally around 82,000 are lost each day through miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatally.

Mariposa International provides support to anyone affected by baby loss, so whether you have suffered a miscarriage at 8 weeks, a missed miscarriage at 17 weeks, a stillbirth at 34 weeks, a neonatal loss at 12 days, or you suffered a cot death at 18-months, please know that Mariposa International stands with you, and will journey you loss with you for as long as you need. Furthermore, the organisation provides support whether your loss has been recent, or the loss was years or even decades ago.

A significant amount of information on types of baby loss and key advice and information can be found on our international site

Mariposa International offers a variety of support options from the ‘Saying Goodbye’ services of remembrance (which allow people to come together to acknowledge and remember the baby or babies they have lost), to our befriending service that links bereaved families with support volunteers, resources including leaflets and books, online daily quotes and more.
